(Recipe from my Game Day Sammies collection – but a great, simple to make sandwich to be enjoyed all year long.)
I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t brie cheese and fig jam a little, hmmm, fancy for football? When you get flavor like this with only four ingredients, we give it a pass. So fancy it up and get ready for cheers, it’s you that will be the star of the game.
- 1 2- foot long baguette
- ½ pound deli ham
- 1 jar about 6 ounces fig jam
- 1 8- ounce brie cheese
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise so you have a long top and bottom.
- Slice the brie cheese into thick slices, about 1/4 inch. Layer the ham on the bottom half of the bread, then top evenly with the cheese.
- Spread the fig jam evenly over the top layer of bread. Place it on top of the lower half, and either wrap up and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve, up to 4 hours, or slice and serve immediately.
